I haven't blogged in such a long time. Hmmm..... I think it was my myspace site that I had last blogged on. So I'm kinda getting back in the groove.
Long story short, I'm trying to lose weight. To be more specific, I'm trying to lost a lot of weight, lol. I've lost weight before, but it's always been through a low-carb diet. I have learned, however, that the atkins diet is NOT the best way (at least not for me) to lose weight.
I used to smoke. Smoking really helped me not to snack so much. If I got hungry, I'd smoke a cigarette. I used to go for most of the day on just diet cokes and cigarettes. Not very healthy. I lost a LOT of weight, but not in the best way (at ALL). I gave up smoking for lent in 2011 and still do not smoke. As a result I started snacking more (ack!) and gained some more weight.
Last May I had my weight done at the doctor's office. OMG I couldn't believe it. It was enough to make me cry. How in the world did I let myself go??? I decided to join a gym and now I spend a lot of my lunch breaks there :)
From May-December I'd lost 14 pounds. I then started working out on the wii fit plus at the end of December. Since then I've lost another 24.5 pounds. :) yay!!!!!
I still have a long way to go........but I'm getting there!
